A diagram of an intersection may be helpful in explaining a traffic accident to a jury or judge. Analyzing a drawing of an intersection may lead to improvements in the design of the intersection.

These drawings can be downloaded and edited. It is often easier to modify an existing drawing than to draw a new one. If you haven't done so already, download the free trial version of RFFlow. Once it is installed, you can open the samples on this page directly in RFFlow by clicking the links to the right of each picture. From there you can zoom in, edit, and print the drawing.

This drawing shows a common problem with a Cloverleaf Interchange. Traffic entering the Interstate Highway is forced to merge with traffic leaving the highway.
